Kiel Classic was fathered by maritime
photographer Peter Neumann. His library, one
of the largest maritime
photographcollections in the internet, is a
wonderful site for lovers of ships, yachts
and the sea. Visit it under
www.ypscollection.de, but be aware: you
could get lost in his world of pictures.
The Kiel Classic builders, Marine Brodesby,
present themselves under
www.marina-brodersby.de.
The smallest Kiel Classic is a 85 centimeter
1:10 radio controlled, high-performing model
of the 27. Uwe Bauer created it, and offers
it, either ready-to-go and beautifully built.
Or for those with golden fingers and a lot
of spare time, he markets a do-it-yourself
kit. The hull is, as its original, FRP. The
woodwork is laser cut and the fittings of
chromed bronze. Take a look at Uwe’s site:
www.bauer-modelle.de.
Adjacent: Peter Neumann shooting the ANZAC
from Jan Cousain’s 23 LeCaMo as the
Australian frigate sails up the river Elbe
on visit to Hamburg.
